As the President and Business manager of the Pennchants, an a cappella group at the university of Pennsylvania, I conceptualized and produced all the promotional materials, show posters and flyers.
A large part of the Pennchants rebranding project was logo design. I explored different possibilities that successfully bring together modern design cues and the retro styling that have always been a part of the Pennchants' identity as an a cappella group chartered to sing "songs of our childhood."
As a further graphic design exercise, I recreated some of the most recognizable logos entirely our of vector graphics in Illustrator and replaced the companies with "Pennchants."
I designed a logo and app icon for a Thai massage mobile app startup. I was consulted for the logo design when the initial logo concepts were too busy, complex, and did not convey the value proposition of the company in providing relaxation at the touch of a button. With my logo designs, I looked to pare down the graphic to the bare essentials and create an inviting brand with a nod to Thai culture in creating the 'e' logo from the profile of a peaceful elephant.
As a means of continually sharpening my skills, I create my own icons in Illustrator for the various projects, presentations, or posters I am making. Here are a selected few from projects that range from personal branding to oncology patient flow to a backpack that keeps you cool.
